Your Guide to Digital License Plate Banner Messages

April 25, 2025

One of the funnest and engaging features of the RPLATE is the ability to display custom banner messages on your digital license plate. Whether you’re marking a milestone or showing off your style, personalized banners let you make your plate truly yours. And while standing out is part of the fun, following a few simple guidelines keeps everything running smoothly.

At Reviver, we’re all about giving you the freedom to express yourself while also keeping our platform respectful, safe, and inclusive for everyone. That’s why every banner message submitted through our app needs to go through an approval process (and a legal approval process that varies state by state). We’ve set some clear guidelines to help you create messages that get approved quickly and are within community and legal standards.

Here’s a simple breakdown of what flies, and what doesn’t, when it comes to banner messages on your RPLATE.

No drug or sexual references.

What Happens If a Message Violates the Guidelines?

If a banner doesn’t meet these standards, it won’t be approved. In more serious or repeated cases, it could lead to your account being suspended or even terminated. We’re not here to police your creativity, we just want to make sure everyone can enjoy a safe, respectful space to express themselves.

Keep It Fun, Keep It Friendly

We love seeing the creativity and spirit the Reviver community brings to their digital license plates! These messages are a fun way to show off a bit of who you are. Just remember: if it wouldn’t be allowed on a public billboard, it probably won’t be allowed on your RPLATE.
